I have always been fascinated by emblematic portraiture, specifically Cesare Ripa's book "Iconologia." A book which depicts vices, virtues, seasons, and the arts and sciences in human form. For my graphics IV class we were told to make a wall piece that depicted the negative, or positive side of advertising. Here are a few completed figures, along with a series of small emblematic icons representing the same theme
