Below are digital patterns made for my Illustration II class that represent the COVID 19 outbreak. Below is the description of the first two patterns seen below. The rest of the patterns are simply reiterations.
My overall concept of these patterns is isolation and multiplication. The first piece represents the isolation that has now become part of our daily lives. The green circles represent the virus, whereas the multicolored spheres represent the human population. Surrounded by all of these circles are smaller, maroon circles that confine, and delineate the spheres; these circles represent isolation, and social distancing.
The second piece represents multiplication, or the fear of global contamination. Within each panel is the repetitive image of two large circles being consumed by smaller versions of themselves representing how the virus consumes the human body on a large scale. The blue lines delineating the scene, represents how each country is plagued by the virus within their own borders.
